One of the most important periods in the history of independent Kazakhstan is the period of the Golden Horde. The poetics of written sources dating back to this time had a profound influence on the formation of literature and spiritual foundations of Kazakhstan and, as a result, becomes one of the most important topics in modern literary criticism. One of these written monuments, which plays a significant role in the formation of the spiritual culture and literature of the Kazakh people, is the work known as “Kissa-i Rabguzi”, “Qisas ul-Anbiya” or “The Tale of the Prophets”. The article attempts to analyze the work of Rabguzi, to compare the artistic image of the prophets in the works of poets of the early 20th century, in particular, between such poets as Shadi Dzhangiruly and Zhusipbek Shaikhislamuly, who contributed to the growth of the spiritual self-awareness of the Kazakhs. One of the problems that occupies a significant place in the history of Kazakh literature at the beginning of the twentieth century is the study of the life of the prophets through the prism of poetry. This article reveals the spiritual harmony and cognitive and ideological features between Rabguzi’s stories and the works of the early twentieth century.
